Performance Numbers of MVAPICH2 on em64t Platform (09/14/07)

• Experimental Testbed: Each node of our testbed is a dual processor system with Intel Xeon 3.6 Ghz processors. The CPUs support Em64T technology and run in 64 bit mode. The nodes support 8x PCI Express interfaces and are equiped with dual MT25208 HCAs. A Flextronics 144-port DDR switch is used to connect all the nodes. The operating system used was RedHat AS4.

• MVAPICH2 currently delivers one-sided put latency of 4.99 microseconds , one-sided get latency of 10.68 microseconds for 4 bytes, one-sided put bandwidth up to 2571 Million Bytes/sec, one-sided get bandwidth up to 2098 Million Bytes/sec and bidirectional bandwidth upto 2758 Million Bytes/sec on the above testbed. (1 Mega Byte = 1,048,576 Bytes; 1 Million Byte = 1,000,000 Bytes)
